G.R.A.F.F.I.T.I. KIDS: Growing Radical And Faith Filled Individuals Through Interaction with God and Man Graffiti Kids is often to be a sign of rebellion and restless. It is often done by your people who seemingly have no regard for individuals or personal property. It is costly to clean up and often a precursor to more damaging crimes. However if we look at graffiti in the Bible we see a powerful method of communication instituted by God himself. We see the first hints of it in Exodus when God introduced the Ten Commandments. Here we see God writing his laws on tables of stone and presenting them to his people. The most powerful example of graffiti in the Bible is found in the book of Daniel chapter 5 when fingers appear and write a message on the wall to King Belshazzer. In other examples God instructs his people to write scriptures on door frames, ect. So as you can see, graffiti can be an important tool used for good or otherwise. Graffiti in our case is not only a viable method of communication, it also represents the mission of the Children's Ministry of Mount Hope Community Church: We want children of all ages to be excited about God, confident in his love for them and walking in victory from day to day. We know that this is accomplished in two ways. First, each child must have his or her own powerful life changing experience with God. This experience must be built upon and nourished on a daily and weekly basis. We facilitate this be providing an anointed atmosphere with many opportunities for children to pray, learn an seek the Lord. We also encourage the children and parents in a daily walk with Christ. Secondly, each child must have positive interactions with adults and children with the body of Christ. We accomplish this through food, fun, fellowship and loving respectful discipline.

Sweet little David asked me to write this while we were in the classroom, he called it a story. David is just one of God’s little sweethearts in our children’s ministry…what a blessing these kids are! Christmas, Christmas, Ho, Ho, Ho! I love God and He is the Lord of everything. Awesome God, You are the Lord forever!!

Hello everyone, I just wanted to share with everyone an incident that happened right here in Jackson, Michigan, sometime in late March or early April of 2016. Please read. It's very important! So I've been meaning to write a post about a situation that happened a couple of weeks ago to a dear friend of mine and her 7 year old daughter (who looks more like 9 or 10). While shopping at the Airport Rd. Meijer, my friend gave her daughter some pennies to ride the old brown horse, Sandy, which was no more than 20 feet away from the self check lane that she was using to check her groceries out at. My friend noticed two young teenage girls sitting next to Sandy the horse. The girls seemed fine and were engaging a bit in conversation with her daughter. But again, everything seemed fine and harmless. While loading the car my friend realized that her daughter had locked the doors. When the mom got inside she realized that something was wrong. Her daughter explained that the two girls followed them outside and got into a vehicle with an older man. She began to tell her mom that the girls were asking her questions while she was riding on Sandy. Questions like, how old she was (not believing she was 7), where she lives and what school she went to. She then told her that the girls were motioning for her to get out of the car and to come get in with them, as they were making the "shush" facial expression for her to be quiet. By the time my friend looked for the vehicle, the car had pulled away. They called the police and made a report, obviously hoping that the cameras at Meijer had picked something up. It's hard to even grasp the thought that that situation could have turned into my friends worst nightmare. I know that we all get comfortable in our surroundings and can take for granted the fact that we get to tuck our children in every night, but the harsh reality is that human trafficking is real and it's right here in our own backyards. I think that we need to make our children, at all ages more aware. It sickens me that these conversations need to be had at such early ages when our kids are growing up entirely too fast as it is, but if it is the matter of life and death or being taken, then so be it. PLEASE, please talk to your children and let them know that this type of situation is happening right here..... Not in other states, not in other cities, right here. And please repost this and share it with as many people as possible. Let's keep our kiddos safe ❤️
Hey everyone, Graffiti Kids is hosting a parents night out Friday, November 20th from 5-8:30. Drop off the kids and go enjoy an evening out! Parents Night Out is open for all children ages 3-12. Please bring a passing snack to share. Hot dogs and or pizza will be provided. Hope to see you there! !

Mount Hope Community Church had a wonderful turn out for the first day of Vacation Bible School. We had almost 50 kids! How exciting! All the kids had wonderful time learning the first two commandments, watching a very special puppet show, singing and dancing, playing games and making their very own "pillar of fire". We invite all children ages 3-12 to come and bring friends too! We will continue day two at 5pm. What will our new friend "Maggie" do tonight?
